A Bitter Taste

about

Cinematically the final image is one of a camera zooming out from a window looking in on a padded room, wherein a man is sitting on a bed, leaning back and forth. We know that this man has just committed the murder of dozens of children, we know that he has been found
criminally insane, but we don’t know whether there is a good reason for it or not. Is he insane? Or was he doing the best and being punished in the worst way possible; stuck in Hell and unable to remove himself even through death. The closing piece is him pondering his fate with bitterness and an angry eye towards God.

lyrics

God willing, it will be done..
But I am, no longer one of the chosen few...
The chosen few...

Is this where I’ll sit for eternity?
Is this corner of hell made for me?
To question my fate... To question it all...

There’s a bitter after-taste to this..
Am I a martyr on a crucifix?
Or just another.. Destroyed man...?
