After what he considers to be his most embarrassing moment he begins to put things together. He is the only one who knows, and how can he allow people to suffer when they may have an- other chance? What if there is an escape and he’s the only person who can honestly see it? Who does he care about more than anyone? He loves his wife. He misses her and wishes to see her again--and in this moment he realizes that he must save her. By getting her out.
